The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
A little joke to warm up the review:
‘I have a mickey mouse degree, so now I know everything
about him’
This movie is entertaining and really gets to grips with the
issue of class divide but is way too long, rather than ‘The Hunger games’ it
should be called ‘The Seriously I’m quite full games’.
It begins with last year’s winners Katniss and Peeta on
their victory tour of the districts. The tour is fuelling a rebellion uprising so President
Snow announces a special hunger games this year, which will feature the majority
of the previous winners and is a way for him to make the problem of Katniss
disappear.
When Katniss enters the arena she is wearing a wedding dress
that turns into flames, guess it’s one way to stop cold feet.
Like last year’s games bruv, there is a massiv rush at the
beginning to get their favourite weapons fam, much respect goes out to
Katniss’s weapons choice innit, Bow Selecta.
The trouble with her selection is that for the whole movie
I’m worried that she will run out of arrows, and then she won’t know what
direction to go in.
There are new hazards in this year’s arena, from killer apes
to poisonous fog. One character runs up to Katniss panicking and shouting ‘it was raining blood!!!’, either that or she
was a chav with an irrational fear of water, ‘it was raining, blood’
I give this movie 6 marks(immons) out of 10
